5 things you can’t miss at the #HRTechConf
As an HR professional, you no doubt work hard every day to make sure your business is in good hands when it comes to payroll, benefits, wellness and many more HR concerns. And even if you’re doing a perfectly good job on your own, it always helps to network with others in your profession, share your thoughts and maybe learn a few new ideas from others about the HR industry.
Coming up next week is a great opportunity to do just that. We’re just a few days away from the HR Technology Conference and Exposition, where you’ll get a chance to talk shop and discover the upcoming HR trends with hundreds of your peers. This year’s #HRTechConf will be held from Oct. 18 to Oct. 21 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas – get ready.
There’s a lot to look forward to at the #HRTechConf. This event will be jam-packed with interesting conference sessions, not to mention other can’t-miss entertainment. Here’s a look at five of the big highlights you’ll definitely want to catch:
Learn to build better teams
In a pre-conference session at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, you can learn all about team-building in the workplace. Ted Malley, Ceridian’s senior vice president of product evangelism, will host a discussion titled “Build Better Teams That Achieve More.” Studies have proven that when teams work well together, the result is higher productivity and performance – so why not learn to build the best possible teams in your office? (10/18, 2:30-3:30 pm PST, Lagoon ABGH)
Discover important HR technology
HR technology is another important part of the equation – so on Monday at 1:30 pm, you should sit in on “Beyond the Hype: What’s Really Important in HR Technology Today.” Join Lisa Sterling, Ceridian’s VP of Dayforce Talent Management, Steve Boese, co-chairman of the conference and Trish McFarlane, CEO of H3HR Advisors, and other panelists as they discuss how better technology can help companies improve performance. (10/19, 1:30-2:30 pm PST, CHRO2)
Work better with HR tech vendors
Every company should have a good relationship with its HR technology vendor. For this reason, another can’t-miss session will be the Tuesday afternoon “10 Steps to Creating the Ideal HR Technology Vendor Relationship.” The speakers include John Sumser, principal analysts at Key Interval Research, and Shawn Wiora, CIO at Creative Solutions in Health Care (a Ceridian customer), will talk about how to make your relationships better. (10/20, 4-5 pm PST, CS5)
Discover how “HR Gives Back”
Ceridian is proud to be a Titanium sponsor of HR Gives Back, a collaborative event that serves as a fundraiser for the Michael J. Fox Foundation, which looks to support scientific research toward a cure for Parkinson’s. HR Gives Back is an idea started by Mollie Lombardi, Mike Pauletich, Teresa Thieme and Jeanne Achille, all HR technology industry veterans. You can join other members of the HR technology industry in a virtual marathon that raises funds to support the cause, and even partake in an onsite challenge at HR Tech sponsored by FitBit!
